Whisky and Beer!

Scotland is world famous for it’s golden nectar we call Whisky, while Aberdeenshire is famous for being the home of Brewdog. So we’ve combined these awesome facts and come up with a great day out for everyone.

First, you’ll get to visit one of the oldest operating Whisky distilleries in the whole of Scotland, Glen Garioch (pronounced Geery in Doric). Glen Garioch has been making its mighty malt in the quaint and historic market town of Oldmeldrum, near Aberdeen in North East Scotland, ever since 1797. Shielded from the world’s prying eyes, deep in the fertile ‘Granary of Aberdeenshire’, and only ever produced in small, precious batches, Glen Garioch is a rare find indeed, but warmly appreciated by those who like a hearty Highland malt, non chill-filtered as nature intended, with a wholesome maltiness, honeyed sweetness and delicious creamy texture to savour.

Then we’ll move over to Ellon, the home of Brewdog and the craft beer revolution! You’ll get a chance for some lunch in the famous Dogtap, a tour of the brewery and to sample the huge selection of Brewdog beers, direct from the source. Brewdog have been on a mission to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as they are since 2007. They moved their operations from Fraserburgh to Ellon in 2012 and since opening their first bar in 2010 have opened over 75 more around the world!

For you keen golfers, we’ve got the ultimate treat for you! Scotland and the North East being the home of Golf means we’re spoilt for choice with some of the oldest, most famous and best golf courses in the world. In August we’ll be taking you to one of our favourites. Nestled in the heart of Royal Deeside, Aboyne is one of the oldest courses around. 6,000 yards of impeccable fairways and faultless greens await you – a golfers dream! Aboyne is the understated jewel in the Aberdeenshire golfing crown and we’re going to share it with you. Included is all the transport to get you there in back in comfort, a warm breakfast and lunch prepared in the stunning clubhouse by one of our own tablers (don’t panic, he’s the chef that owns the clubhouse restaurant!). 18 fabulous holes of challenging golf, surrounded by the most beautiful landscape you’ll ever see!

All this for £40! Bargain! What are you waiting for!?

You’ll go from the mountains to the beach taking in the beautiful scenery on the way. As you get back to the city, some challenges await!

Once we’re all back on dry land, we’ll be lighting the BBQ for some grub before we hit the town!
